CUFT® underwear is made from 100% TENCEL™, a plant-based fiber derived from sustainably sourced wood pulp. TENCEL™ is naturally biodegradable and compostable, meaning it safely breaks down into non-toxic components that enrich the soil instead of polluting it.
What truly sets CUFT® apart is our fully compostable waistband — made from a biodegradable TPU band, not the plastic elastic used by nearly every other brand. Our waistband is OEKO-TEX® Standard 100 certified, just like our TENCEL™ fabric, ensuring the entire garment is completely safe, non-toxic, and earth-friendly from top to bottom.
When your CUFT® undies finally reach the end of their life, they can return to the Earth, not the landfill. Over time, they decompose into nutrient-rich compost, leaving behind zero harmful waste. Even our travel tube packaging is compostable, because every part of CUFT® was designed with your body and the planet in mind.
We use low-impact, OEKO-TEX® certified and Bluesign® approved reactive dyes. These were carefully chosen to be non-toxic, free from harmful chemicals, and safe for sensitive skin.
These dyes meet some of the strictest global safety and environmental standards, which was incredibly important to us when creating CUFT®. They’re also more colorfast and durable than plant-based dyes, meaning your CUFT® stays vibrant longer while reducing waste from premature fading.
While plant dyes sound natural, they often require heavy metal mordants (which can be toxic), fade quickly, and aren’t always sustainable for everyday wear. Our low-impact reactive dyes are best-in-class for safety, performance, and longevity, giving you the best of both worlds: color that lasts longer than plant dyes and safety that matters.
